本书内容由浅入深,除了讲解机器学习原理、各种方法以外,特色是通过大量医疗领域的实例,讲解医疗数据的处理、分析,辅助医护人员临床诊断、临床决策。使读者能够理解并处理临床诊疗数据、电子病历档案数据及影像数据等多源异构数据。同时能在一定程度上解决高维稀疏、类别不平衡、特征选择、特征提取、数据融合等数据科学中的关键问题。能够进行医疗图像、文本等数据的读取、预处理、可视化等操作。能够解读算法的运行结果,掌握准确率、精确率、召回率、ROC等指标的基本含义。例如:用分类算法对疾病进行分类,利用机器视觉算法自动提取和分析图像中的信息实现辅助诊断,以达到对疾病预测和分类、用药指导、疾病诊断等临床目的。而这些都是一般的机器学习教材所没有的。
